A lovely fabric- great weight for mid season and travel

It's taken me a while to write this review as I've had to take these boots to the shoe repairer not once, but twice to get them to a wearable condition.
The Pro:
- They are nice-looking boots.
The Cons:
- They are made of very thick, stiff leather - not soft and supple as you would expect at this price point.
- The longer leg length means that the zips at the back scratched up my legs, and the zips aren't covered by the leather. I took them to an experienced cobbler twice to try to fix the issue.

I had a pair of Commonplace/McKinleys that were high-quality and comfortable, but these are not the same. The quality is unfortunately not there and if I had paid full-price I would have sent them back (I bought them on sale and was unable to return them).

Quality seems good but Way too big and it’s a small!
Probably too expensive even on sale.

Commonplace were great to deal with: as a first transaction with them I ordered a top that turned out to be too small. In buying this, I used my 10% newcomer discount. I sent the top back, got fully refunded and ordered the appropriate size, which I’ve received and am very happy with. On request, because I had ended up failing to benefit from the original discount voucher, they made up a 10% discount voucher for me to use on my next purchase. I’m happy with that!

Love them, I am usually a size 37 and am happy with the 38.

Loooove them!! I had to size up by half a size as my usual size (39) wasn't available. 39.5 is perfect in these so would suggest sizing up slightly. Super comfy and they look great and feel really good quality!!
